AWS Data Engineer - Johannesburg – R650kup to R850k per annum

This role involves working within a team to solve complex problems and deliver real business value across a wide range of industries, as well as helping to develop best practices and drive improvements in data engineering across the business.

Responsibilities:

• Creating data models from various sources and storing them in a usable format.
• Leading the design, implementation, and successful delivery of large-scale, critical projects.
• Utilizing expertise in SQL with a strong understanding of ETL and data modeling.
• Ingesting data into AWS S3 and performing ETL into RDS or Redshift.
• Using AWS Lambda (C# or Python) for event-driven data transformations.
• Designing and implementing security measures to protect data from unauthorized access or misuse.
• Working on automating the migration process in AWS from development to production.
• Delivering digestible, contemporary, and immediate data content to support delivery planning, estimating and analysis, data architecture, and pipeline design.
• Designing and implementing complex data solutions.
• Optimizing cloud workloads for cost, scalability, availability, governance, and compliance.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified SysOps Associate, AWS Certified Developer Associate, AWS Certified Architect Associate, AWS Certified Architect Professional, Hashicorp Certified Terraform Associate.
• 5 Years of Python / C# Development experience.
