Auditor - Upper Highway KZN - R18-22 000

An accounting firm in the Upper Highway area is looking to employ an auditor to join their team. This position is available immediately. Applicants are to have a valid driver's license and own transport. The position will require travelling (local) from time to time.

Responsibilities

1. Creating detailed reports on audit findings
2. Inspecting and reconciling account books for accuracy
3. Assessing accounting systems for effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance with proper accounting procedures
4. Recommending system controls and improvements to increase reliability and data integrity
5. Preparing annual reports, statements, and financial records
6. Examining records to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
7. Reviewing taxpayer accounts to determine tax liability
8. Keeping up with legal requirements and applicable changes to local laws that apply to the establishment
9. Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
10. Maintaining spreadsheets by collating data, checking for accuracy, and analysing results
11. Gauging financial risk within the establishment
12. Stock count verifications
13. Preparation and review of VAT and employee cost reconciliations for IT14SD purposes

Qualifications

1. BCom / BCompt in accounting with completed or partially completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
2. CaseWare Working Papers Essential
3. Pastel Sage One and Xero Advantageous
4. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Salary

R18 000 - R22 000 Dependant on experience
