About the Role

As an Audit Manager on secondment or relocation to the Netherlands, you’ll be an integral part of the engagement team, responsible for auditing financial records, systems, and internal controls. You’ll work closely with clients to ensure compliance with international standards and provide valuable insights to help improve business operations. This role will offer exposure to international clients, allowing you to enhance your technical skills while driving significant career growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Audit Financial Records & Reports

• Perform audits on clients' financial statements, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with relevant financial reporting standards.

2. Information Systems Audits

• Conduct audits of clients’ information systems, verifying compliance with data security protocols, privacy requirements, and other industry regulations.

3. Internal Control Evaluation

• Review and assess internal controls, policies, and procedures to identify gaps and recommend improvements.

4. Reporting & Recommendations

• Prepare detailed audit reports, outlining findings, analysis, and actionable recommendations to strengthen accounting practices and internal controls.

5. Team Leadership & Development

• Manage, guide, and review the work of junior staff, providing mentorship and ensuring high-quality work output.

6. Collaboration

• Work closely with senior partners and financial directors, contributing to audit strategy development, managing client expectations, and supporting overall engagement success.

7. Client Engagement

• Build strong relationships with international clients, offering expert insights and value-driven solutions tailored to their unique business needs.

Qualifications & Experience

Required Skills & Experience

• 2-5 years of post-articles experience, with significant exposure to audits in medium to large private and public companies.
• Big 4 experience is advantageous.
• Proven track record of managing and leading teams to deliver successful audit outcomes.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS and international auditing standards.
• CA(SA) qualification is required.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to engage clients and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt to new environments and work collaboratively with international teams.
• Willingness to relocate and work onsite in the Netherlands for the duration of the secondment.
