Based in Bloemfontein.
Purpose of the Position:
Provide project financial and administration support through contract and commitments management, asset management, sales and marketing functions for the ArtBankSA. The position is fixed term for 60 months.
Scope:
The Art Bank of South Africa is a national programme hosted by the National Museum Bloemfontein. The vision of the Art Bank is to promote, foster and stimulate a vibrant market for the collection of South African contemporary visual art. It is tasked with purchasing artworks from South African artists, particularly that of emerging artists to lease and sell the artworks to South African government departments, private companies and private individuals.
Responsibilities:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Qualification: Minimum: NQF level 7 qualification and Qualification in Project Management / Financial Management / Audit. A valid (unendorsed) Driver’s licence.
High level of Computer literacy including excel spreadsheets.
Experience: Minimum of 60 months proven experience in financial administration and project management. Candidates who also have experience in sales and marketing environment will be given preference.
Knowledge: Knowledge and experience of financial administration processes and sales and marketing. Manage a budget, payments, asset management. Some knowledge of PFMA and processes.
Personal Attitudes: Strong administrative skills, independent worker, work under pressure; good interpersonal relations skills; good written and verbal skills; willingness to travel.
Physical Demands: Typically sitting at a desk/table; typically standing and walking; lifting demands up to 20 kg; climbing up to 2 m on ladders; and typically bending, crouching and stooping.
