Assistant Process Controller: Emulsifier

Overview

The person will be responsible to assist the Process Controller to operate the ISA and Emulsifier plant

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric / equivalent
• Forklift license

Experience

• 2 years demonstrated hands on experience in a production environment
• 1 year demonstrated experience in a production plant
• 1 year demonstrated experience in explosives production ( advantageous)

Duties

• Assist with the emulsifier and raw material batch preparation
• Fulfil stand-in duty for the process controller during meal breaks and while on leave
• Must be competent in the monitoring and shut down of the system during upset conditions
• Must be competent in controlling the emulsifier making and batch preparation process via the PLC/HMI
• Stand-in as leave cover
• Must be able to fulfil the duties of the emulsifier/ISA Loading and general housekeeping.
• Perform quality control testing of raw materials and products
• Continue to perform duties of a forklift driver
• May be required to assist with product loading at INNOVEX plant
