Requirements:

• National Diploma/ Degree in Economics, Development Studies, Development Economics, Public Administration (NQF Level 6/ 7 as recognized by SAQA). 3-5 years’ experience in Economic Research Environment.

Duties:

• Design and plan research projects and data collection methods.
• Liaise with and consult relevant stakeholders to source relevant data and obtain buy-in during economic research formulation.
• Perform the analysis of data collected and produce economic research reports for the Department.
• Design and plan economic models and data collection methods.
• Implement developed economic models to aid decision making.
• Liaise and consult with relevant stakeholders with respect to sourcing relevant data for modelling exercises.
• Interpret modelling outcomes and provide a narrative for reporting purposes.
• Develop knowledge management system.
• Manage the integration of data, information and knowledge requirements.
• Contribute to the project team driving improvements and enhancements.
• Liaise with relevant data custodians.
