Join Lehigh University's dynamic Development and Alumni Relations team as an Athletics Annual Giving Officer (Assistant Director) and embark on an exciting journey where your love for sports and fundraising converge. This exempt full-time position offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on Lehigh's athletic programs while championing the spirit of philanthropy.

In this role, you will be a driving force in achieving solicitation, fundraising, and visitation goals for the Lehigh Athletics Partnership. Your expertise will be instrumental in securing sport-specific restricted funding, contributing to the overall participation, dollar, and discovery goals of the Individual Giving Team and Development and Alumni Relations.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Develop long term relationships with key donors and prospective donors to secure financial support for university priorities; responsible for raising a minimum of $200,000 in annual commitments for Lehigh.
  2. Manage a portfolio of approximately 100-150 households, and work within a pool of Athletics prospects, with the intent to acquire annual donors and discover new leadership prospects.
  3. Cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of assigned prospects to secure financial support for University priorities while preparing both customized and standardized proposals, correspondence, and reports.
  4. Arrange and staff on and off campus visits, tours, cultivation events, and meetings for managed prospects or for a sport; 60 visits/video calls per year.
  5. Serve as the primary architect of and implementer for a significant component of the overall Athletics Partnership (Athletics Annual Giving) effort by leading the annual fundraising effort for several assigned sports.
  6. Reporting, records, and accounting.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree required.
  2. Three to five years of relevant work experience.
  3. Valid Driver's License.
  4. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  6. Strong organizational and time management abilities.

This position is a Grade: 9 - 40, offering an approximate salary of $54,390-$66,190 and is subject to change based on experience, skills, and qualifications. The duties of this position may allow the employee to work partially remote as deemed appropriate by their supervisor. This position has fiscal or financial responsibilities other than employee expense activity, such as processing or approving transactions; monitoring or preparing budgets; or generating income for the University. You will be responsible for driving University-owned vehicles as a routine function, therefore a valid Driver’s License and a good driving record is required. This position works with minors.
