Job description

Our client based in Pretoria is urgently looking for an Asset Management Administrator to join their team.

Contract: 12 months renewable

Location: Pretoria (Full Time Onsite)

Minimum qualification required: B Degree or equivalent tertiary qualification.

Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in administration, specifically within asset/financial environment. Oracle ERP and Power BI experience is an advantage.

Scope:

  1. To maintain the Group Security assets register throughout the security asset lifecycle.
  2. To ensure stock management and safeguarding by the security assets' principles and compliance.
  3. To ensure maintenance and contract agreements are in place when evaluating the conditions of security assets and providing recommendations to ensure that security assets are maintained within the defined lifecycle of the asset.
  4. To facilitate the procurement of group security assets when the end of life has been reached, including compiling and verification of technical specifications, evaluations of suppliers' quotations, procuring, delivery, recording, payment, and capitalisation of the security asset.
  5. To stay current with market-related developments and anticipated trends in own technical and functional area, and ensure the application thereof in a relevant and timely manner (methods and systems).
  6. To remove the security assets from the physical environment when they have aged, approval is obtained for write-off, update the security register and disposal according to the recommended method.
  7. Quarterly reporting to be provided to all relevant stakeholders including the Team Leader and the Unit Head.
  8. Periodic asset audits to be conducted to ensure accuracy and verification of the status of security assets.
  9. Monitoring and assessing the utilisation of GSMD security assets aligned to the correct compliance processes.
  10. Coordinate and support subsidiary asset management teams with asset management activities aligned to the GSMD Group security approach.
