Assessment Manager (RKAM)

Main job function

1. Management of examination and moderation processes and procedures.
2. Selection of examiners and moderators when vacancies arise.
3. Ongoing quality assurance of all examiners and moderators’ work.
4. Overall quality assurance of question papers and memoranda of all subjects.
5. Developing, implementing and monitoring assessment policies, systems and procedures.
6. Overall monitoring of assignments.
7. Ensuring that syllabuses are kept up to date.
8. Selection of textbooks for each syllabus.
9. Liaison with skills development (tuition) providers.
10. Approaching universities to offer the qualifications.
11. Ensuring alignment with the assessment policies.
12. Liaison with all relevant regulatory bodies (QCTO, SAQA and FASSET).
13. Overall quality assurance of work experience module.
14. Keeping education policies updated.
15. Keep up to date with developments in corporate governance and law.
16. Keeping abreast of developments in the education field in order to keep the Institute informed.

Qualifications

• BCom / B Education / LLB or similar.

Criteria

• Experience as a university lecturer (law, commerce) or an assessment manager would be advantageous.
• Background knowledge of corporate governance and corporate law would be advantageous.
• Excellent command of the English language – verbal and written.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Good people skills.
• Ability to be a team player.
• Ability to communicate at all levels with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to use own initiative and work independently.
• Ability to perform under stress.
• High level of confidentiality.

Remuneration: R650’000 CTC
