Position Summary:

Through continuous training and personal development, the entry level Assembly Technician shall be able to work in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. The Assembly Technician must be detail oriented and well organized and responsible for a wide variety of functions that support the assembly and production team. Such functions include part handling, cleaning, and marking; Sub-assembly and Top-level assembly; Safety wiring and flushing. The Assembly Technician must be willing to work with computers and be a motivated team player.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Mate and assemble components using a variety of tools and methods not limited to hand, electric, and pneumatic tools; wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, torque drivers; helical insert installation tools; arbor-press; as well as custom job-specific tooling.
  • Install electrical components such as LVDTs and switches.
  • Must be able to read and interpret mechanical and electrical diagrams and schematics.
  • Select, set up, and follow procedures using fixturing and tooling described in company documents.
  • Enter and retrieve data from the company computer system.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Job Qualification Requirements:

Training and Experience:

  • High School Diploma; ability to communicate with all levels of personnel.

Physical Demands:

  • Push, pull, and reach overhead; exert and lift 50 pounds to move objects.
  • Near acuity and accommodation are required for reading drawings and specifications, measuring instruments, computer screens, and documents.
  • Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action.

Working Conditions:

  • High noise levels from operating machines.
  • Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.

The employee may be required to follow and perform other job-related duties at their supervisor’s request, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.
