Artisan Bricklayer : Workshop (Grade A)

Job Location : Western Cape, Cape Town

REQUIREMENTS :

• Appropriate Trade Test Certificate in Bricklaying. A valid driver’s License.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act 85, of 1993 and Regulations.
• General knowledge of respective Trades.
• General knowledge of tools, equipment, and machinery in the workshop.

DUTIES :

• Compile material quantities per project and maintain all Government Buildings, including new work to buildings.
• Willingness to work overtime if required and compile progress reports on projects while monitoring Artisan assistants and Learners.
• Report directly to Artisan Superintendent and possess vast knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993.
• Participate in various expeditions including other Islands (Marion, Gough & Antarctica) & Robben Island.
• Be prepared to climb ladders for inspection, work in confined spaces, and endure dust, heights, and excessive heat.
