Armed Response Officer

AM Security Services is recruiting ARMED RESPONSE OFFICERS to join our Public Safety Response team. This critical role has the responsibility to ensure that business environments and surroundings are patrolled to ensure the safety and security of our business communities and their customers. Your mode of transportation will be with a Motorbike, so a valid motorbike driver's license is crucial.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure quick and appropriate response to clients' emergency calls
2. Ensure visibility at standoff points and during area patrols
3. Ensure clients' complaints are handled efficiently
4. Ensure that the disciplinary code is adhered to at all times
5. Ensure the safety of clients by checking premises thoroughly
6. Maintain a high standard of service
7. Possess expert knowledge about all facets pertaining to your position
8. Attend all meetings and training sessions
9. Keep vehicle neat and tidy at all times
10. Assist with any problems or complaints
11. Submit comprehensive reports and feedback as requested
12. Complete daily/weekly checklists
13. Stand off at delegated places during peak hours
14. Help residents by advising and identifying possible security risks
15. Follow up with clients after incidents and offer assistance
16. Perform public relations services and introduction calls to new clients

Minimum Requirements:

1. Minimum Psira Grade C (Renewed)
2. Grade 11/12
3. Valid Motorbike Driver's License
4. Live in the surrounding areas of Strand, Somerset West, and Stellenbosch
5. Firearm Competency – Handgun, Shotgun, and Carbine Rifle (Business Purpose)
6. Armed Response Certificate
7. Statement of Results for firearms training received (SASSETA/PFTC)
8. Experience working as an Armed Response Officer
9. Candidates must be prepared to undergo Fitness and Firearm proficiency assessments
10. Excellent verbal & written communication skills
11. Neat and presentable
12. No criminal record
