Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Area Sales Manager to oversee our sales operations in Tongaat, Stanger, Bluff, and Newlands. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of Postpaid Sales Agents, ensuring sales targets are met, and maintaining a smooth and productive communication channel through WhatsApp. The role requires proactive leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team to achieve outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of sales agents to ensure they meet or exceed their sales targets.
- Conduct daily morning checks to verify that all agents have checked in and are ready to begin their shifts.
- Regularly engage with sales agents, providing guidance, support, and feedback to enhance performance.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet area-specific targets and drive business growth.
- Monitor performance metrics for each area and provide tailored support to ensure sales goals are consistently achieved.
- Motivate agents to prioritize customer acquisition and upselling opportunities to maximize revenue.
- Conduct regular field visits across Tongaat, Stanger, Bluff, and Newlands, actively engaging with agents on the ground to provide hands-on support.
- Address any challenges that agents face in the field and develop practical solutions to maintain high productivity.
- Foster a collaborative environment to encourage sharing best practices and strategies among agents.
- Load all sales data from agents onto the designated app promptly and accurately, ensuring that records are complete and up-to-date.
- Oversee the submission of daily statistics and Business Intelligence (BI) reports, ensuring agents provide accurate data on time.
- Review and analyze reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Manage the WhatsApp communication channel for Postpaid Sales Agents, ensuring timely updates, answering queries, and providing ongoing support.
- Act as a liaison between sales agents and upper management to ensure clear communication of goals, expectations, and policies.
- Organize and lead regular team meetings to update agents on performance, share best practices, and align strategies.
- Identify training needs for agents and coordinate with training teams to ensure agents have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
- Support new agents by onboarding them into the team, offering guidance on tools, processes, and target expectations.
Requirements:
- Matric
- OWN VEHICLE is a MUST.
- Proven experience as a Sales Manager or similar role, preferably in a field sales environment.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple locations and responsibilities effectively.
- Proficiency with CRM or sales tracking applications.
- Exceptional communication skills, especially in coordinating via digital channels such as WhatsApp.
- A results-driven approach, with a keen focus on meeting and exceeding targets.
