Applications Engineer (Mechanical Engineer)

Qualifications

Education: B.Eng., BSc, or BTEC (National Diploma) in Mechanical Engineering or associated discipline.

Experience

0-1 years working in a related field in any of these industries:

1. Automotive
2. Aerospace
3. Marine
4. Industrial engineering

Skills

Required Skills:

1. Knowledge in the use of CATIA or other similar 3D Design Software (Fusion 360, Solidworks, Inventor, CREO or similar).
2. Good understanding of the principles of PLM.
3. Knowledge of 2D Design and Drafting Software (GstarCAD, AutoCAD, Draftsight or similar).
4. Must be well presented, articulate, and able to identify client requirements.
5. Able to recommend and describe appropriate solutions within our software portfolios.
6. Comfortable liaising with client representatives at all levels.

The Role

The role includes:

1. Recommendation and demonstration of our software solutions.
2. Provision and implementation of the solutions.
3. Support of our software solutions.
4. Training of clients in the use of the solutions.

Other Requirements

Working together with internal marketing to prepare and provide material and media, as well as technical demonstrations of features, to prospective and existing clients.
