Junior Operations Coordinator (Durban / Johannesburg Office)

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Co-ordination and management of entire freight forwarding function for all modes of transport.
2. Handling of files from A-Z including customs clearance and invoicing.
3. Processing of SADC / PHYTO / EUR1 / CTN / BSC / CNCA / COO certificates as required.
4. Relationship management in terms of all client liaison and customer services.
5. Plan and execute container loading plan for consolidation containers.
6. Maintaining and updating reports as prescribed by management or existing business models.

Profile:

1. Matric SC / Grade 12.
2. Diploma / Bachelors Degree (advantageous).
3. At least 2-5 years experience in freight forwarding operations.
4. A solid understanding of government authorities' procedures and policies to ensure compliance.
5. Working experience with Hazardous / Roro / Reefer / OOG Cargo and groupage consolidations.
6. Ability to process export customs entries with general tariff knowledge.
7. A team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
8. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and manage time.
