Preferred WHASA or recognized wound management certificate
2+ years’ experience in a clinical setting working with patients and/or end users
Previous medical industry experiences an asset
Domestic travel required - Kwa Zulu Natal
Valid driver’s License.
Own Vehicle
Effective written and presentation skills
Ability to read, analyse and interpret clinical publications/scripts
Proven success with organization and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Ability to tailor training and education in order to serve many audiences
High attention to clinical outcome and follow-through
The ability to prioritize multiple tasks in order to support internal and external customers as well as end users.
Must be self-driven with the ability to work independently
Key Job Outputs:
Maintain professional credentials and education to maintain status as a clinical expert through board certification as a nurse.
Support in-hospital wound care in conjunction with employed hospital staff.
Set up new wound care protocols for follow up visits for end users.
Deliver education programs to a diverse group of internal and external customers and end users to drive better wound outcomes and improve care.
Report back to senior leadership key clinical learnings and opportunities.
The Wound Care educator provides clinical and operational support in the delivery of patient care in a hospital setting or clinical environment.
Responsible for training physicians/clinicians/nurses on procedures, protocols and product use.
Assists with front office operations including, but not limited to, billing, invoicing, scheduling, tracking of procedures, reporting, and funder approvals.
