Job description
Duties/Pligte
- General office administration.
- Postgraduate and undergraduate student administration, including processing applications on SUNStudent and uploading marks.
- Financial management and administration of all departmental cost centres, including budget planning and monthly reporting.
- Administration and loading of all remuneration for contract staff and tutors.
- Assisting staff and associates with financial claims.
- Making national and international travel arrangements for staff and associates.
- Responsible for minutes of departmental meetings.
- Professional management of all enquiries and requests directed to the Department.
Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- Grade 12 and a relevant higher education qualification.
- At least four years' working experience at senior secretarial level.
- Proven computer proficiency in the use of the Microsoft 365 package (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Reliable record-keeping skills.
- Financial administration skills.
- Fluency in verbal and written English.
Recommendation/Aanbeveling
- Proven knowledge and experience of Stellenbosch University's administrative and financial systems.
- Additional financial management qualifications.
- Communication skills in isiXhosa.
