Fiera Milano Exhibitions Africa (“FMEA”), founded in South Africa in 2012, is a company owned by Fiera Milano S.p.A., the leading Exhibition Group in Italy and one of the top players globally. FMEA organizes annually “Investec Cape Town Art Fair”, the largest Art Fair on the African continent.

To expand our team, we are looking for the Administration, Finance and Controlling Manager.
The Manager will work at FMEA offices in Cape Town and will play a pivotal role in managing the economic performance of FMEA.
Key roles to include:
Finance Function
- Manage the full finance function of the Company. This includes all aspects of the business involving financial issues, figures, and staff recruitment and management of the finance office.
- Manage all the internal finance controls in the Company, ensuring debtors and creditors payments are adhered to in terms of the contracts.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and presentation to directors.
- Preparation and submission to Fiera Milano of timely and accurate monthly reporting package on an IAS/IFRS basis for consolidated financial statements process.
- Preparation and submission to Fiera Milano of timely and accurate quarterly reporting package on an IAS/IFRS basis for consolidated financial statements process and presentation to directors.
- Preparation of Annual Budgets and Business Plan (4 year) for each show, new project etc., with the estimation of overhead costs and each line of the Financial Statement.
- Preparation and submission of quarterly Forecast package to Fiera Milano.
- Preparation of final results in terms of revenues and direct costs for each show compared to the previous year end to the budget/last forecast.
- Discuss the results for each show with the CEO, Meetings and updates on the financial performance of each show to be held during and after the shows. Compare actual show results/overheads to budgeted results on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Put controls in place to decrease the monthly overheads by the implementation of continuous improvement of activities (Staff efficiencies, negotiations with contractors, sourcing new contractors).
- Fortnightly monitoring trend sales report revenues/Exhibitors’ numbers/revenues collected and sales opportunity.
- Review the VAT Monthly, Reconcile the Control Account and prepare Revenue — VAT Reasonability, Review the e-filing submission by the accountant.
- Review Annual Taxation Calculations and Statutory Submissions prepared by the Auditors, make sure that all the Statutory Submissions are up to date and submitted on time for all entities.
- Review Annual Financial Statements prepared by Auditors and discuss them with the CEO and CFO.
- Oversee the Annual Audit and ensure sign of an unqualified Audit Report.
- Custodian of the Payroll. Review the monthly commission schedule and salary payments for accuracy, prior to the release of payment.
Strategic Function
- Provide Input at meetings into the overall company's strategy and operating plan.
- Work with the CEO and assist the management team in growing the business in the medium and long term, by adding events and Investigating market trends etc.
- Analyze profitability of doing new shows in SA and Africa.
- Updating of the Company's business plan as we progress and adjust the projected future budgets for new shows etc.

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (master’s degree or MBA preferred).
- Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior financial leadership role.
- Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and risk management.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
