About the Role
The Administration and Marketing Consultant assists in various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of marketing initiatives, including Events.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing
Job Activities:
- Assist in developing and implementing the marketing strategy
- Identify marketing trends and key opportunities for innovation
- Create marketing material such as white papers and presentations
- Organise marketing and networking events
- Maintain a marketing database
- Prepare, format and edit a range of documents
- Demonstrate understanding of the company product and brand
- Create and interpret a variety of marketing reports
- Analyse questionnaires and other forms of stakeholder feedback
Key Performance Indicators (KPI)- Marketing strategy developed and implemented
- Marketing trends and key opportunities for innovation identified
- Marketing material created

Membership ServicesJob Activities:- Partake in recruiting and maintaining relations with members
- Maintain and update customer databases (i.e., CRM)
- Conduct sessions and meetings with members and non-members
- Coordinate member events
- Set-up the venue during sessions with members
- Handle and/or escalate queries of prospective new members and existing members
- Communicate with Members via telephone, letter, and email
- Contact potential members via various platforms to establish rapport and arrange meetings

- Effective member support

- Timely and accurate member communication
Administrative SupportJob Activities:- Draft communication for members, staff, Board Members, and stakeholders as instructed
- Assist Operations Supervisor with research for communications and newsletters
- Provide support in updating the website as instructed
- Provide administration support in event planning
- Capture and file all meeting minutes
- Digitally file documents and maintain an effective and up-to-date document and information management system
- Manage the MFSA event and activity diary including sending timely reminders (e.g., Conferences, meetings)
- Manage incoming and outgoing telephone and e-mail traffic
- Handle and relay accurate and timely messages from telephone callers, and escalate queries where necessary

Candidate Requirements- 5+ years of employment experience in a similar role

Language SkillsAbility to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from members, managers, stakeholders, and the general public. The candidate needs to be fluent in Afrikaans and English.
Numerical SkillsBasic Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning AbilityHigh Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Microsoft suite, Spreadsheet software, Word Processing software, and PowerPoint, and be social media savvy.
Travel and LicensesCode EB driving license.
Working ConditionsPredominantly Remote, with in-person meetings once or twice a week. Out of office errands from time to time. Stable internet connection required to work remotely.
