Job Overview

To administer and adjudicate Warranty and Maintenance claims according to the policies and procedures set out by the different manufacturers. In compliance with the Company's Integrity & Anti Bribery Codes, Conflict of Interest Policy & S.H.E. requirements and to perform delegated S.H.E. tasks and duties & to inform superior about deviations. Manage and report on out of line dealers via controlling and verifying damage codes and advance warranty decision processes to satisfy DTSA, Dealers, Fleet owners, Fleet Operations, and source companies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Dealer support on warranty/maintenance issues: Effective and efficient guidance to ensure accurate claims & Eskulabs. Accurate, efficient & timeous warranty/maintenance decisions (manual and system made decisions). Decision in line with warranty/maintenance procedures & policies as per Warranty manual. Product support to customers through dealer interface. Following of the escalation process where problems cannot be resolved.
  • Adjudicated claims: Claims for warranty, maintenance & goodwill that comply 100% to company policies and procedures. Out of warranty claims for goodwill that comply 100% to DTSA policies and procedures. Monitoring and reporting / escalating of out of line Dealer claims. Adjudicate claims in line with audit rules.
  • Dealer controlling (by dealer groups and damage codes), interaction & support: Escalations to source companies. Positive response from source companies to support brand in DTBSA. Efficient & timeous response from source companies. Accurate information and required documents sent to source companies.
  • Eskulabs (advance warranty decisions): Eskulabs decisions that comply with warranty, maintenance, and goodwill parameters as set out by the manufactures.
  • Parts analysis requests to warranty inspection centre: Requesting of parts for suspect claims to be investigated. Requesting of parts where there may be a product related issue.
  • Self-development: Taking personal responsibility for learning and development through a process of assessment, reflection, and actioning. This can include both on and/or off the job training. This also includes the sharing of learnings with team.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 or N3/T3.
  • Motor/ Diesel Trade Certificate is advantageous.
  • Systems Certified.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years’ technical experience in a workshop environment.
  • Warranty/Maintenance and costing experience an advantage.
  • Automotive industry experience.

Special Knowledge:

  • Commercial vehicles and technical automotive Knowledge.
  • Warranty/Maintenance systems.
  • Workshop processes.
