Because we do a great job of this, we’re growing. We are therefore looking to bring on a highly skilled and motivated Acumatica Accounting Specialist to join our remote team on a project basis.

Who you are

Our Acumatica Accounting Specialist will work closely with firm leaders as well as staff and clients and will be responsible for integrating and managing our client’s financial management platforms via Acumatica. As we continue to grow our business, a critical part is the continued development of an accurate and efficient back office. We are looking for someone in a similar role but looking for a home-based/remote opportunity and comfortable working Eastern standard business hours, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM EST.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Play a crucial role in leveraging the capabilities of the Acumatica ERP system to maintain accurate financial records, facilitate reporting and analysis, and support the organization’s financial goals and objectives.
2. Assist with new client onboarding and through the process of product adoption.
3. Advise and assist with data migration from legacy accounting solutions to Acumatica.
4. Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data.
5. Demonstrate features and functionality to clients.
6. Assist clients with best practices in using Acumatica.
7. Serve as a subject matter expert for client inquiries.
8. Improve the Acumatica environment including but not limited to streamlining and managing multiple user setups, profiles, and roles, customization of objects, fields, and record types.
9. Offer recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes, including Acumatica projects that will simplify and automate processes.
10. Evaluate the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed.
11. Develop and monitor business performance metrics.
12. Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
13. Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; file financial reports; advise management on needed actions.
14. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.

Requirements:

1. A minimum of 3 years of outsourced controller experience using the Acumatica platform.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
3. Extraordinary Excel skills.
4. Ability to automate financial transactions and processes.
