Enbaya Prepaid Meters, based in Fairlands, Johannesburg, is a leader in the Prepaid Meter business. We are looking for a suitably qualified Accounts Clerk, with excellent attention to detail, people skills, and a great work ethic. Previous experience in this role is essential.

Qualifications Required

The minimum qualification required for this role is:

  • ICB Certificate - NQF 3
  • AAT Certificate - NQF 3 or 4

The Job Specification

This position will be in the accounts department and is a customer-facing accounts position. The candidate will be coordinating and communicating with customers, solving customer accounting questions and tickets.

Responsibilities

  • At least 3 years’ experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience dealing with customers in relation to their accounts.
  • A certificate or diploma in accounting or bookkeeping will be advantageous.
  • Accurate and meticulous with figures.
  • Solid and accurate experience in reconciliations.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (like Freshdesk, Zendesk or similar).
  • Experience with stock take, dispatch, deliveries.
  • Problem solving.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Warehouse experience is an advantage.
  • Must be fully proficient both in verbal and written communications in English.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Must have own transport.
  • Able to work occasionally over weekends or after hours for month-end processes, stock takes, etc.
  • Able to follow the process and procedures.
  • Honest and ethical.
  • Reliable.
  • Self-managed.

Working Hours

The department working hours are from 08:00 am to 05:00 pm weekdays and are subject to rotational shifts when required from 10:00 am to 07:00 pm and alternate weeks from 08:00 am to 05:00 pm. On-call for after hours/weekends/Public Holidays is required on a rotational basis.

Computer Skills

  • Experience in Google Suite products including but not limited to Google Sheets, Google Docs, Gmail, Calendar etc.
  • Ability to work with formulas.
  • Ability to work in spreadsheets.

Start: Immediate

Location

Fairlands/Northcliff when in office & remote work as well (at the discretion of company and department management).

Job Type

Contract to Permanent depending on performance.
