Job description

We are seeking a highly professional and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounts Clerk. In this role, you will assist the accounting department with data entry, processing, and recording transactions. Efficiently managing and recording daily bank and credit card account transactions, assisting with processing supplier invoices onto the accounting system, and performing monthly reconciliation of accounts payable, bank accounts, and credit cards. Your meticulous attention to detail and strong administrative skills will contribute to maintaining accurate financial records. Familiarity with Business Central or an equivalent accounting system will be considered an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Process daily bank account transactions promptly and accurately.
  2. Accurate posting of VAT entries.
  3. Managing credit card float balances and assigning cards in compliance with Company Policies.
  4. Assisting with the processing of supplier invoices onto the accounting system.
  5. Checking supplier invoices for accuracy for payment.
  6. Conduct monthly reconciliation of accounts payable, bank accounts, and credit cards to ensure accuracy.
  7. Match accounts in accounting software.
  8. Maintain up-to-date and organised financial records.
  9. Filing financial records.
  10. Updating and maintaining accounting databases.
  11. Performing basic office tasks, such as data entry, processing the mail and accounts email inbox, etc.

Requirements

  1. Possess a relevant certificate, diploma, or degree in accounting or a related field.
  2. Demonstrated experience in data capturing, accounts payable, and bank account processing.
  3. Strong administrative skills with a keen eye for detail.
  4. Ability to work under deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
  5. Exceptional accuracy in handling financial data.
  6. Familiarity with Business Central or equivalent accounting systems will be considered an advantage.
  7. Understanding of basic accounting principles and proficiency with computers and software, such as MS Excel, Google Sheets, etc.
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
