Requirements
To ensure the integrity of the full Trial Balance (TB) and General Ledger (GL), including the accuracy of financial data, regulatory reporting, and compliance with IFRS and other accounting standards.
The role focuses on leveraging technology and innovation to improve financial processes while maintaining adherence to a robust internal control environment.
To provide insight and analysis into the performance and financial position of the business and to provide accurate and timely financial information to the various functions, enabling budgeting and investment decisions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BCom (Accounting / Financial management)
- 3 – 5 years of successful experience as Financial Accountant in a similar role
- Completed SAICA Articles / CIMA Articles are advantageous
Extensive Working Experience In The Following Tasks:
- Statutory requirements i.e. Income Tax, VAT and EMP
- Monthly management accounts
- GL & Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Reconcile and confirm monthly the intercompany balances for the group
- Ensure an up to date and accurate fixed asset register (R40M) and stock reconciliation file
- In depth understanding of IFRS, accounting standards, and financial principles
- Current SAP system experience is essential
- BEE financial reporting
- Completion of group internal audits
- Effective management of bank relationships, coordination of local and international payments and treasury functions
- Management of departmental costs by monitoring expenses, reviewing purchase requests, and addressing cost variances
- Manage foreign currency and export transactions
- Prepare monthly salary journals and month end journals
