Responsibilities
Supporting managers in handling a diverse portfolio of accounting clients across various sectors, including listed companies.
Ensuring high standards of service delivery and technical competence to meet client expectations.
Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships.
Leading and developing a team of SAIPA trainee accountants, including on-the-job training and mentorship.
Reviewing work performed by junior staff and providing constructive feedback to improve quality and efficiency.
Assisting in the overall management of the Accounting department, contributing to strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
Completing standard administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.
Adhering to SAIPA and other professional codes of conduct, ensuring ethical and regulatory compliance.
Utilizing IT systems such as Microsoft Office and Caseware to support accounting processes.
Demonstrating strong tax knowledge to provide sound advice and ensure compliance for clients.
Communicating effectively across diverse teams and with external stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
Maintaining professionalism and clarity in all written and verbal correspondence.
Requirements
Qualified or eligible to register as a Professional Accountant (SAIPA).
Completion of SAIPA Training Contract.
Working knowledge of SAIPA and other applicable Professional Codes of Conduct.
Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office and Caseware.
Skilled in Caseware working papers.
Demonstrated experience in reviewing juniors' work and providing on-the-job training.
Strong tax knowledge.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Minimum of 1 year of post-articles experience.
Strong ethical values, time management, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
