Job description

Join one of South Africa's leading Independent FSP's as an Accountant.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Finance within the company to ensure that it is operating as efficiently as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Account reconciliation
  2. Balance sheet analysis
  3. Monthly reporting
  4. Tax reporting
  5. Preparation of budgets
  6. Prepare Monthly Accounts on Pastel for three companies
  7. Prepare VAT for the three companies and submit to SARS
  8. Analyse and upload all commission statements to Commspace system
  9. Track all commission
  10. Reconcile and load all ad hoc payments as well as monthly payments for authorisation
  11. Manage Petty cash
  12. Prepare Invoices
  13. Calculate Referral commission
  14. Auditing of New Business, Switches, Offshore Redemptions
  15. Year End Audit management
  16. Manage maintenance of the building

Key Performance Measures:

  1. Meet all deadlines timeously
  2. All work is completed accurately with attention to detail
  3. Be able to think strategically and analyze the business to identify opportunities for improvement
  4. Finance Director is kept fully appraised and regularly updated
  5. Timeously and professionally communicate (i.e. face to face, by email or telephonically) relating to all areas of responsibility pertaining to the role, including document sending and follow ups

  4. Administrators
  5. Other professional advisors (e.g. Attorneys and Accountants)
  6. Clients
  7. Paraplanner Team Members
  8. Product providers

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field with experience.

Experience:

Proven experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
