Asset Manager

Salary: R 35000.00 - R 45000.00 CTC per month

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Fixed Assets and Inventory Administrator to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle management of fixed assets and inventory, including maintaining accurate asset registers for both financial reporting and SARS wear and tear purposes.

The ideal candidate will ensure timely and accurate processing of acquisitions, disposals, impairments, and monthly depreciation, while supporting reconciliation processes and internal reporting requirements. This position plays a critical role in upholding compliance with IAS 16, ensuring data integrity, and supporting efficient month-end and year-end financial close activities. Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain Asset Registers for both depreciation (for balance sheet) and Wear And Tear (SARS)
2. Ensure that all Asset Registers are accurate and complete
3. Process acquisitions, impairments, disposals, transfers, and any other adjustments e.g. change in useful life monthly
4. Monthly depreciation runs
5. Ensure asset journal postings are accurate
6. Prepare asset register versus TB reconciliations for all categories monthly
7. Assist with forecasting reports
8. Compile and maintain templates and reports as required by management
9. IAS16 reconciliations
10. Maintain structured SOPs for Assets, including acquisitions, measuring, disposals, recording and control
11. Work alongside the Admin team to ensure all month end and year end processes are accurate and completed timeously as per the agreed timelines and guidelines.
12. Prepare and load the payments of the assets
13. Capturing of assets and inventory on Accpac
14. Asset verifications and inventory stock counts
15. Maintain the filing system for assets and documents
16. Assist with Bi-annual Stock take reconciliations
17. Management of uniforms and stationery

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Degree in Finance/Accounting (required)
2. 3-5 years Fixed Asset experience
3. Good IAS 16 knowledge
4. Stock take experience
