Marsh has a fantastic opportunity for an Account Specialist to join our team in the Sandton Office.

The Account Specialist position offers an exciting challenge and career opportunity for someone with around 2/3 years’+ experience within insurance, specifically supporting client renewals looking to join an established broking team within a market leading insurance broker.

This is a full-time role and you must be able to attend the office a minimum of 3 days a week including Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

We will rely on you to:

• Assist client servicing team members with gathering and formatting client renewal information, presentations, proposals, and other documents that are required when a client’s policy renews.
• Attend the Internal Renewal Strategy Meeting, and Client Renewal Strategy Meeting, where necessary.
• Drafting of Reports and Certificates for the Client Executive
• Check quoting slips and policy wordings.
• Collate documents received from various sources into Broking Notes.
• Broke / negotiate terms with local market.
• Analyze and collate terms / quotes / alternatives received for the Client Executive.
• Prepare premium calculations.
• Check policy document is in line with closing instructions.
• Raising of Invoices.
• Develop relationships with Insurers at the appropriate level.
• Credit Control / Age Analysis.

What you need to have:

• Demonstrable insurance experience (2/3 years)
• RE 05 (Representatives Exam) – Not Essential but nice to have
• FAIS Compliant
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
