Job Title: Account Manager - Sales & Service Enablement Solutions (6-Month Contract)
Location: Durban, South Africa
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:
- Client Onboarding & Management:
- Manage and oversee the full client setup process, ensuring a smooth implementation of Salezup’s platform.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored support.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all client inquiries, issues, and requests, ensuring prompt resolution and satisfaction.
- Product Launch & Pilot Facilitation:
- Facilitate the successful launch and pilot of Salezup’s platform with a large multinational brand based in the UK.
- Work directly with the client to ensure a smooth rollout, managing expectations and ensuring all aspects of the platform are fully functional and understood.
- Self-Management & Independent Growth:
- Be comfortable with a high degree of trust and self-management, as you will not be micro-managed.
- Take ownership of the role, driving the business forward and collaborating closely with the founder and overseas development teams.
- Lead efforts in establishing Salezup’s presence in the South African market, building long-term client relationships, and helping to grow the business organically.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
- Collaborate with the technical development team to share client feedback, identify and troubleshoot platform issues, and ensure timely solutions.
- Ensure all technical aspects of the software are fully understood and can be communicated effectively to clients.
- Sales & Customer Service:
- Promote Salezup’s platform features and benefits to clients, driving upsells and new business opportunities.
- Provide exceptional customer service, helping clients get the most out of the platform’s capabilities.
- Assist clients in the adoption of new features, ensuring they are maximizing the value of the solution.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work closely with the technical team to report and track client-reported issues and follow up on resolutions.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to align client expectations with the company’s offerings.
- Client Training & Education:
- Conduct training sessions for clients on how to use the platform effectively, ensuring they understand all features, tools, and reporting capabilities.
- Provide ongoing guidance and education on the benefits of using Salezup’s system for performance management and gamification.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Client-Facing Experience:
- Proven experience in a client-facing role, such as Account Management, Customer Support, or Sales.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Experience with communicating via Microsoft Teams and/or Slack.
- Technical Understanding:
- Basic understanding of IT systems or a technical mindset (previous experience with software platforms or SaaS solutions preferred).
- Ability to work with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Sales and Customer Service Orientation:
- A passion for sales and customer service, with the ability to drive client satisfaction and retention.
- Ability to promote and upsell software features based on client needs.
- Problem-Solving:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and collaborate with internal teams to resolve them quickly.
- Self-Management & Independence:
- Ability to manage your own time and responsibilities, taking initiative to drive the business forward.
- Comfort in working without direct supervision, as this role requires a high degree of trust and autonomy.
- Team Player:
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse team, including developers, sales, and marketing personnel.
- Based in Durban:
- This position is based in Durban, South Africa, and requires the candidate to be locally based.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with software solutions in sales, performance management, or gamification is a plus but not a must.
- Experience with HR software systems or commission/tracking platforms. Again, not a must, but would be advantageous.
Contract Duration:
This role is a 6-month contract position. Based on the success of the business and your performance during the contract period, there is an opportunity for the role to transition into a full-time, permanent position.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary Range: R35,000 – R50,000 per month, depending on experience.
