Job description

Due to extensive growth, Fusion Consulting Group is looking to recruit an Account Manager to join our office in Johannesburg.

Our mission is to disrupt the disjointed Professional Services space. The group has several subsidiaries ranging from Tax, Accounting, Legal, Financial Services, and Executive Recruitment. This role will report directly to the Head of Client Services.

Job Summary

The Account Manager will be responsible for looking after a mixed client portfolio comprised of both small-to-medium entrepreneurial businesses and private clients/international high net worth individuals.

They will be required to maintain an excellent relationship with these clients, whilst also ensuring internal departments are collaborating effectively. It will be important to identify opportunities across other areas of the business for the client – upselling and cross-selling when appropriate – and making introductions when necessary.

Retention of clients is key, but growing the revenue of each client is also crucial. Total client satisfaction is at the heart of what we do.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide strong account management to key clients, acting as the main and focal point of contact
  2. Create a deeper understanding of clients' business strategy
  3. Ensure clients get maximum value from Fusion and client satisfaction remains high
  4. Maintain MS Dynamics for accurate reporting
  5. Account Planning for clients
  6. Introduction to new services when applicable
  7. Manage project expectations and issues
  8. Produce and update client matrix
  9. Upsell and Cross sell
  10. Bespoke marketing strategy to clients
  11. Client relationship building through calls, meetings, and entertaining
  12. Weekly meetings with Heads of Departments
  13. Provide additional support to department Heads

Desired Skills and Experience

  1. Must have previous account management experience, ideally within professional services
  2. Knowledge of CRM systems is desirable
  3. Excellent telephone and written communication skills
  4. Basic MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook skills is essential
  5. Ability to interact professionally with clients, able to prioritise workload and be self-sufficient whilst also working in a team environment
