Job description

The key responsibility of the account manager is to manage SME type retailers. Responsible for achieving targets, training Reseller staff, merchandising and managing the account effectively to meet the strategic requirements of the Brand and the Group.

Key Performance Areas:

Account Management

  • Prepare simple quarterly/ annual business plans per retailer to exceed business targets
  • Implementation of agreed plans to develop partners business growth in all areas.
  • Analyse & Identify key areas / timelines/ actions required to grow market % contribution & market share per retailer
  • Translate value of driving the Brand per retailer and impact to partner bottom line performance
  • Development and maintenance of commercial relationships with partners and sales people in retailers

Sales Planning and Execution

  • Secure committed orders per retailer in line with sales targets
  • Review & analyze stock parameters per retailer to ensure "responsible" account management
  • Ensure sales targets are met on quarterly and annual basis.
  • Maximize additional revenue streams per channel through planning and execution.

Account Administration and Stock Planning

  • Manage Reporting process both internally and externally with respective resellers
  • Review and identify model stock parameter per reseller and couple with with constructive action plans to manage within these parameters
  • Ensure weekly sell out reports are submitted on time and in full.

Finance

  • Management of partner billings expenses on monthly basis in line with budget requirements
  • Maximize presence within each retailers environment by driving initiatives through head office engagements

Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 and relevant tertiary education

Work Experience Required:

  • Minimum 3 to 6 Years experience in retail supplier environment
  • Knowledge of electronics industry an advantage
  • Good commercial & financial understanding
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must have own vehicle with license
  • Be able to travel locally and internationally if necessary
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Strong organizational ability
  • Ability to work in dynamic, fast-pace environment
  • Energetic, passionate, motivated self-starter
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office / MacOs / iOS
