Our data-driven insights help businesses optimize operations, mitigate risks, and make informed decisions. We are seeking a highly motivated Account Manager to drive client success, strengthen relationships, and support our continued growth in these key sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Client Relationship Management
    Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring exceptional client experience and satisfaction. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients in the Mining, Sports, and Schools sectors. Proactively engage with clients to understand their evolving needs and provide tailored solutions.
  2. Account Growth & Upsell Management
    Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities to maximize account value. Develop and execute account growth strategies aligned with business goals. Collaborate with sales teams to drive renewals and expansions.
  3. Vertical & Account Strategy Development
    Develop industry-specific strategies for Mining, Sports, and Schools accounts to drive engagement and retention. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to refine approaches and identify new opportunities. Work closely with internal teams to align strategies with customer needs and industry trends.
  4. Client Onboarding & Training
    Lead the client onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition and early adoption of AfricaWeather's solutions. Conduct information sessions and training to educate clients on product capabilities and best practices. Provide ongoing support to maximize customer engagement and value realization.
  5. Project & Initiative Management
    Oversee client-specific projects and initiatives, ensuring timely and successful execution. Serve as the bridge between clients and internal teams (sales, development, and support) to ensure smooth delivery. Manage stakeholder expectations and keep clients informed on project progress and outcomes.
  6. Problem-Solving & Issue Resolution
    Act as the first line of support for client queries and concerns, ensuring quick and effective resolution. Escalate complex issues internally and follow through to resolution. Proactively identify potential challenges and implement strategies to mitigate risks.
  7. Reporting & Analysis
    Track and analyze account performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Prepare and deliver client reports, business reviews, and insights to showcase value and reinforce relationships. Use data to inform strategic decisions and enhance customer engagement.
  8. CRM Management
    Maintain accurate records in the CRM system (HubSpot or equivalent), tracking interactions, opportunities, and client feedback. Ensure timely updates on account progress, pipeline activity, and key client touchpoints. Leverage CRM insights to personalize outreach and strengthen client engagement.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Environmental Science, or a related field (preferred).
  2. 3-5 years of experience in Account Management, Client Success, or Sales.
  3. Experience in Mining, Sports, or Schools sectors is a strong advantage.
  4. Hands-on experience with CRM systems.
  5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from data.
