Job description

My client, a leading and well-known company in the Prefab Construction Industry requires a competent and experienced Account Executive / Sales Rep to join their team in Blackheath, Cape Town.

The position offers a market related salary plus lucrative commission and a company car.

Purpose:

To drive and achieve profitable sales targets from both new and existing clients. To increase market share, provide exceptional customer service, and build relationships with current and new clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Achieve agreed profitability targets.
  2. Actively look for and create opportunities within the market.
  3. Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with current and future customers.
  4. Establish and maintain a healthy prospect pipeline.
  5. Provide after sales service and regular entertainment of customers.
  6. Conduct market and competitor analysis.
  7. Investigate, report, and understand the organisational structure of clients.
  8. Ensure timely and accurate completion of enquiries, quotes, and tenders.
  9. Ensure the timely and accurate loading of Sales orders on the ERP system.
  10. Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all internal administration.
  11. Assist the relevant accounts personnel with the collection of outstanding / overdue payments.
  12. Timely and accurate completion of weekly and monthly reports.
  13. Compliance to all reasonable instructions.
  14. Compliance to the Company / clients SHEQ code of conduct and standards.

Minimum Qualification:

  1. Grade 12
  2. Diploma / Degree in Sales / Marketing or related field
  3. Valid drivers license
  4. At least 3 years relevant experience
  5. Successful track record in achieving targets
  6. Report writing and previous experience using an ERP system
  7. Ability to read construction drawings

Further Requirements:

  1. Valid Drivers license with at least 2-years driving experience
  2. Good understanding of sales and rentals
  3. Competent in administrative tasks (i.e., doing quotations, weekly sales reporting, lease Agreements)
  4. MS Office packages
  5. Mobile units / construction product knowledge
  6. Cost control
  7. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and colleagues
  8. Good sales and communication skills
  9. Energetic, target driven and adaptable
  10. Good planning and organizing skills
  11. Ability to multi-task
