Job description

Main purpose of the job: An exciting opportunity exists in Stellenbosch, seeking a skilled person to join a dynamic team to manage the academic policies and processes of a vocational training organisation by ensuring legislative compliance regarding assessments, accreditation, learning material alignment, and accreditation of applicable programmes.

Description: Bergzicht Training & Development, based in the centre of Stellenbosch, is a 32-year-old, successful non-profit organization that trains unemployed people from local previously disadvantaged communities in basic relevant skills (in hospitality and health sectors) enabling self-leadership; provides them support in finding full-time employment as well as offers mentoring and support to all graduates for their first year of employment.

Required Minimum Qualification: Tertiary qualifications: NQF level 5 equivalent in Administration. Trained Assessor qualification to conduct Outcome based assessments. Moderator and/or SETA/QCTO scoping/registration relevant qualifications are an added advantage.

Required Minimum Work Experience: At least 5 years’ experience in a senior administrative position and Quality Management Systems in an accredited training environment. Computer literacy with EXCEL proven experience and excellent administration with good verbal and writing communication skills are essential. A Driver's License with own transport is essential. Bilingual (English & Afrikaans) is essential.

Responsibilities: Implement annual training administration plan, co-ordinate and manage training materials, equipment & resources, oversee administration of training rosters, venue allocations, evaluation and monitoring procedures to ensure legislative compliance and continuous improvements. Co-ordinate the annual review of learning material with subject matter experts and facilitators. Improve and update programme materials reviewed to ensure they are meeting learning outcomes, ensure that material is continually upgraded, implement annual graduation plan & execute, review and evaluate stakeholder feedback, oversee the maintenance of student records on software programme, administer student registrations, co-ordinate and communicate the planning of the academic calendar, monitor and maintain all accreditation documentation to ensure correct enrolments, Statement of Results, external exam enrolments and attendance controls, report student results to relevant accreditation bodies, oversee the compilation of facilitator/Assessor and student guides, certification, student records and SORs. Monitor student Portfolios of Evidence ensuring compliance, management & safekeeping.

Pay: From R28000,00 per month
