3-Phase Installation Electrician (Solar PV Experience)

We are seeking a qualified and experienced 3-Phase Electrician with a solid background in Solar PV system installation, maintenance, and commissioning. You will be responsible for carrying out high-quality electrical work on both residential and commercial solar projects, ensuring compliance with SANS wiring regulations and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical installations for solar PV systems (3kW to 100kW+)
• AC & DC wiring, DB board configurations, inverter and battery connections
• Fault finding, testing, and commissioning of solar systems
• Conduct inspections and issue Certificates of Compliance (CoC)
• Ensure installations meet industry, client, and legislative standards
• Manage junior electricians or subcontractors when required
• Maintain safety and quality standards on all job sites

Minimum Requirements

• Qualified Installation Electrician (Red Seal Trade Test)
• Wireman’s Licence (3-Phase)
• Valid PV Green Card (advantageous)
• Proven experience in solar PV installations (residential and commercial)
• Comfortable working on rooftops, with heights certification being advantageous
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Must be based in Johannesburg or willing to relocate
