Second Line Support Engineer - Hybrid / Remote

About the Job: At Uptime, we provide white label Staff Augmentation, IT Support, and NOC services to MSPs, enabling them to extend the services they can offer their customers.

This role involves working with a leading US-based MSP. Training and development are core values at Uptime.

Hours: Mon – Fri 6pm – 3am SAST

Start Date: 17 / 01 / 25

Responsibilities:

  1. Providing 2nd Line support to a large client base (SME).
  2. Acting as a skilled point of escalation.

Minimum Requirements:

An MSP background is preferred.

Skills:

  1. MS Windows Server
  2. Microsoft Azure & Azure AD
  3. MS Exchange and above
  4. Remote Desktop Server implementations
  5. Networking - VLANs, Routers / Bridging
  6. Security - Firewalls such as SonicWall, Fortinet, Cisco
  7. Endpoint protection, AV
  8. Security best practices
  9. Virtualisation – Hyper V & VMware
  10. Backups
