Second Line Support Engineer - Hybrid / Remote

About the Job

@Uptime provides white label Staff Augmentation, IT Support, and NOC services to MSPs, enabling them to extend the services they can offer their customers. This role involves working with a leading US-based MSP.

Training and development are at our core values.

Hours: Mon – Fri 6pm – 3am SAST
Start Date: 17/01/25

Responsibilities:

  1. Providing 2nd Line support to a large client base (SME).
  2. Acting as a skilled point of escalation.
  3. An MSP background is preferred.

Skills:

  1. MS Windows Server: 2012, 2016, 2019.
  2. Microsoft 365.
  3. Azure & Azure AD.
  4. MS Exchange 2010 and above.
  5. Remote Desktop Server implementations.
  6. Networking - VLANs, Routers / Bridging.
  7. Security - Firewalls such as SonicWall, Fortinet, Cisco.
  8. Endpoint protection, AV, and security best practices.
  9. Virtualisation – Hyper V & VMware.
  10. Backups.
