Duties & Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our team.

As an integral member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing and conducting experiments to test equipment and functionality across various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Test Plan Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive test plans based on project requirements and specifications.
2. Experiment Design: Utilize your common sense and analytical skills to design experiments that effectively evaluate equipment and functionality.
3. Testing Execution: Conduct tests according to established test plans, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and repeatability of test results.
4. Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, organize, and analyze test data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Draw meaningful insights from the data to inform decision-making processes.
5. Documentation: Document test procedures, results, and observations in a clear and concise manner. Prepare reports summarizing test findings and recommendations for improvement.
6. Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, engineers, and project managers to address issues, troubleshoot problems, and ensure product quality.
8. Quality Assurance: Ensure that testing activities adhere to quality standards and best practices. Identify and escalate quality issues as necessary.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
2. Proven experience as a Test Engineer or similar role.
3. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
4. Demonstrated ability to design experiments and develop test plans.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C.
7. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/delivery pipelines.
8. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
10. Passion for software and contributing to the community.

Preferred Experience:

1. Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit).
2. Knowledge of Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
3. Familiarity with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
4. Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
5. Experience with performance testing and profiling tools.
6. Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
