Requirements

A vacancy has arisen for 1 X Sales Consultant for our George branch in WC. This role is for both hygiene and pest control.

To grow the company portfolio and achieve predetermined sales targets by promoting and selling our products and services by:

• Penetrating an allocated sales area and sourcing potential new customers.
• Contacting existing customers to provide solutions for their current, growing and new needs.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Achieve predetermined sales targets through prospecting and closing sales.
• Complete, update and maintain all required administration and reporting systems.
• Comply with policies and procedures and the companies Code of Conduct.
• Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
• Locate potential business through prospecting, tele-canvassing, cold calling, and attending to leads from staff members.
• Conduct thorough surveys of client premises and report findings back to the client.
• Endeavour to gain the client’s acceptance and obtain authorisation on a new service agreement.
• Responsible for all price adjustments to client profile.
• Develop secondary decision making contact with client.
• Complete site risk assessments for every client proposal.
• Conduct Account Reviews as required to support customer retention.
• Ensure equipment and vehicle is maintained and clean at all times.
• Ensure the company brand, vehicle and image is protected at all times.
• Ensure the usage of the correct Personal Protective Equipment.
• Ensure company and client Health & Safety requirements are met.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Selling skills/persuasiveness/interpersonal.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Awareness of Health & Safety measures around the working environment.
• Self-discipline/Self-managed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & CRITICAL EXPERIENCE

• Matric/Equivalent.
• Valid unendorsed driver’s licence.
• Record of a minimum of 2 years in field selling experience.
• Above average communication skills.
• Numerical acumen.
• Computer literate.
• Pest and Hygiene experience (advantageous).
