Head of Software Development

We are looking for a Head of Software Development on behalf of our partner, a pioneering team at the forefront of Metaverse and blockchain technologies. This role is ideal for an experienced backend development leader with a passion for scalable solutions, blockchain innovation, and team management.

As the Head of Software Development, you will lead a talented team of developers, drive backend architecture, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align technology initiatives with the broader vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of senior, mid-level, and lead backend developers, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Architect and oversee the development of scalable, high-performance backend systems using .NET technologies.
• Drive the integration of blockchain functionalities, including wallet creation, token systems, and Web3 applications.
• Ensure robust and secure delivery of backend solutions that support Metaverse experiences and brand integration.
• Collaborate with directors and stakeholders to define and implement technology roadmaps.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the technical implementation of blockchain solutions, including Polygon integration and custom wallet systems.
• Engage with brand partnerships to deliver tailored solutions that enhance user interaction and business impact.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• 7+ years of backend development experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong expertise in .NET Core and backend architecture.
• Knowledge of blockchain technologies, including Web3, smart contracts, and cryptocurrency systems (experience with Polygon is a plus).
• Proven track record in managing and delivering scalable backend systems for consumer-facing platforms.
• Strong people management skills, with a focus on mentoring and team development.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
