About Our Client

Currently, a first commercial-scale facility for converting plastics to circular hydrocarbons is being developed in Europe. The new hires will be responsible for the design and development of this groundbreaking project, with the opportunity to relocate to Antwerp for construction, commissioning, and operation after the successful completion of the 'Final Investment Decision.'

Job Description

1. Executing and managing projects related to civil and steel structure works.
2. Managing suppliers, organizing, and implementing operational processes.
3. Reviewing the engineering documentation related to civil/structural engineering.
4. Monitoring and supporting site-related activities such as geotechnical analysis and soil investigation.
5. Reviewing the construction technical specifications of the project.
6. Carrying out all necessary control, monitoring, and coordination in the engineering and construction processes to ensure that the projects are implemented on time in accordance with quality, safety, and budget criteria.
7. Providing data for reporting and planning.
8. Acting as the Construction discipline officer in all engineering and commissioning stages of the installation and assembly of construction structures, industrial equipment, and unit foundation construction, infrastructure, and superstructure works during the EPC phase.

The Successful Applicant

1. Graduated from the Civil Engineering departments of universities.
2. 5+ years of civil/structural design experience in energy, refinery, fuel sectors, or companies serving these sectors.
3. Good command of English and able to use it actively in written and verbal communication.
4. Able to use MS Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) effectively.
5. Knowledge of best industry practices, national/international codes, and standards (NFPA, API, etc.) as applicable to the discipline.
6. Possess knowledge of tools and design software applicable to the discipline.
7. Able to establish strong communication with internal and external stakeholders, and has effective communication skills with managers and team members.
8. High planning and organization skills.
9. Knowledge of oil/gas and/or petrochemical equipment and units operating principles.
10. Knowledge of generating work schedules as applicable to the discipline, resource management, and sequencing (Predecessor/Successor) discipline activities with other disciplines.
11. Possess transparent communication and interdisciplinary coordination.
