Role overview

We are looking for candidates who have a firm grasp of algorithms and software development practices and are eager to contribute to projects across various industries.

Main responsibilities of the role

• Working closely with Software Engineers, ML Engineers, Management Consultants and Service Designers to set business problems and produce executable solutions.
• Setting the standards for industry-grade software engineering practices.
• Defining and developing successful, robust and scalable software solutions at every phase, including:
• Defining user stories and refining requirements into analyses.
• Deciding convenient design approaches and suitable tools and frameworks.
• Developing layers of software, building pipelines, integrating internal and external parties.
• Validating the solution and assuring quality using available testing methods.
• Deploying and maintaining in healthy production environments.
• Reverse engineering or refactoring existing solutions to better understand, improve and extend their impacts and benefits.
• Engaging with other development teams and guiding them to more efficient and sustainable practices.

Qualifications for the role

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in software design and development.
• BSc degree in Computer Science or a relevant subject. Surprise us with your skills without these degrees!
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Well-established foundation of design principles and software engineering standards.
• Solid understanding of architectural patterns (microservices, SOA etc.), software design patterns, database design.
• Knowledge and experience of SDLC, especially agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP etc.).
• Good coding skills, especially in Python, NodeJS and Java. Experience with standard frameworks such as Angular/React/Vue, Django/FastAPI, Spring Boot etc.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelining, data engineering, containerisation and orchestration, cloud services management.
• Excellent command of the command line.
