To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Freight & Customs Team Leader in our plant in Sakarya.

What will your job be about?

• Ensuring and controlling the compliance of import-related activities with current laws, rules and regulations
• Follow-up of customs legislation and circulars, making necessary arrangements, ensuring compliance
• Determining the import targets together with the Department Manager and giving the necessary feedback to the Department Manager
• Providing guidance and support to the import/export specialists and officers
• Maintaining relations with public and private institutions such as Chamber of Industry and Exporters Association
• Operational evaluation of logistics with related offers
• Optimizing shipping, customs and other operational costs
• Coordinating with forwarders and customs officers
• Controlling, periodic performance monitoring and reporting of customs agents and transporters
• Establishment and implementation of procedures related to the department
• Training, motivation, referral and management of the personnel
• Experience with YYS audits
• Knowledge of legislation and procedures of D.İ.İ.B.

What will you bring with you?

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields
• Minimum 5 years of experience in freight and customs processes
• Knowledge in supply chain management and cost analysis
• Experience in using SAP and MS Office, especially Excel
• Proficient in English (both written and spoken)
• Proficiency in performance management and continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
