Director of Food and Beverage (Pre-Opening)

Hotel: The Red Sea Resort (RUHSI), Red Sea, Shura Island, 48511

InterContinental Hotels & Resorts has delighted luxury travellers since 1946, serving as a meeting place for heads of state and a setting for world-changing speeches. The brand has become synonymous with bold exploration, travel, and cultural discovery. The InterContinental The Red Sea Resort exemplifies these attributes, set within one of the world’s most ambitious luxury tourism developments amidst an archipelago of over 90 pristine islands. The hotel offers guests sweeping views of the ocean and a discreet barefoot luxury experience immersed in nature.

Each of the resort’s 210 sea-facing rooms provides immediate beach access, allowing guests to step out onto the sands of the Red Sea from the terrace. Moreover, the resort features seven different gastronomic experiences, sprawling pools, recreational facilities, a spa, a health club, and curated meetings and events spaces for leisure, business travellers, and groups.

We serve up truly memorable experiences for our guests. But could you be our new secret ingredient? We’re searching for a Food and Beverage Manager to give our guests a taste of the high life by empowering our teams to deliver quality service and exceptional standards.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

  1. Managing and delegating everyday duties for our team of committed hospitality professionals
  2. Maintaining food and beverage equipment, facilities, and stock levels to ensure exceptional guest and corporate experiences
  3. Managing food and beverage standards to deliver against our commitment to responsible business practices
  4. Working closely with the finance team to set, monitor, and refine budgets and drive revenue
  5. Multitasking to oversee multiple teams, kitchens, and food outlets capable of catering to 500 people

What we need from you

  1. Some college and/or advanced training in food and beverage management
  2. 2 years of related experience, including supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  3. Bachelor’s degree/higher education qualification in Hotel Management, culinary arts, or related field preferred
  4. Must speak local language
  5. Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card, as required by local law
