夜班中英文翻译员 (WFH - Night Shift) Call Centre Interpreter / 3 Months Renewable

Job Details:

• Salary rate: $19/hour

• Training Allowance: $14/hour (3 weeks online training)

• Must attend 3 weeks Online Training (attendance 100% compulsory & pass training assessment)

• Permanent Night Shift (Work from home)

• 100% remote work within the Singapore region ONLY

• Contract: 3 months (renewable based on performance)

• Working hours: 8 hours per night, scheduled between 9pm to 9am, 5 days across from Monday to Sunday

• Entitled to 2 days off in a week which will be rotating any day

• Entitled to Annual Leave, medical leave, etc after 3 months

Job Summary:

A work from home Language Interpreter works from his/her home office. It is essential to ensure a quiet and secure environment. The calls may involve simple or complex, non-technical or technical subjects in healthcare, government, insurance, finance, utilities, travel and hospitality, 911 emergency services, law enforcement, and general businesses.

Responsibilities:

• Remain neutral and calm during audio interpreting sessions in the event that one of the primary speakers is incoherent or upset, especially in emergency situations such as 911 calls, end of life conversations, pregnancy termination, vaccinations, and matters concerning sexual orientation.

• Exhibit excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to ensure a high level of accuracy in interpretations.

• Provide strict renditions of the messages including every detail of the conversation and be prepared for challenging calls at any time.

• Render correct concepts and meanings according to the conventions of established interpretation protocol, avoiding omissions or additions.

• Speak clearly in both languages using proper pronunciation, enunciation, and polite expressions.

• Able to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with the permission or at the request of the client.

Requirements:

• Requirement of a personal laptop or PC with a webcam (only necessary during the 3-week training session, trainer will give live training)

• Access to high-speed home WIFI internet connection (usage of hotspot, mobile data, or public WiFi is strictly prohibited)

• Ownership of a mobile phone or spare device
