WTT PRODUCTION MANAGER
World Table Tennis (WTT) is a commercial entity created by the ITTF to grow the professionalisation of table tennis by running ITTF’s commercial and events business. Taking a new, innovative and entrepreneurial approach to how table tennis should manage its competition platform and positioning, WTT has been tasked with re-imagining a new professional event structure, re-energising the entertainment and fan experience, and re-defining the new era.
WTT is seeking a detailed and organised individual who has good interpersonal skills and will be responsible for oversee all aspects of production planning and execution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Management
- Oversee production budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness across all WTT productions.
Project Coordination
- Collaborate with Executive Producers/Producers in planning and executing all production projects, upholding WTT’s high standards of quality and on-time delivery.
Team Leadership
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and on-the-job training to junior production team members, fostering a culture of growth, learning, and collaboration.
Freelance Staff and Contractor Management
- Hire, onboard, and manage freelance staff and contractors, ensuring budget alignment and adherence to WTT’s production standards and processes.
Supplier Negotiations
- Preparation of Request for Quote documentation for distribution to 3rd party vendors
- Negotiate with suppliers and external vendors to secure optimal terms for personnel, equipment, and other resources, maintaining a high standard for cost efficiency and service quality.
Budget Preparation
- Develop comprehensive budgets and schedules for projects in development, and contribute to RFP responses as needed.
Cost Reporting
- Maintain financial accountability through monthly cost forecasts, reporting to the Head of Production, and ensuring adherence to budget constraints.
Risk Management
- Complete all required risk assessments, Production Declarations, and ensure compliance with WTT’s risk management policies and safety standards.
Health and Safety
- Uphold health and safety protocols across all production activities, fostering a safe work environment for all team members and on-site personnel.
Logistical Coordination
- Oversee travel, accommodation, and logistical needs for production staff, ensuring seamless on-the-ground operations for each event.
- Coordination with in-house Events, Competition, IT, Content and Commercial teams on logistics, venue planning, sports presentation, OVR, sponsorship and content requirements
- Oversee the management and booking of satellite and fibre delivery for the World Feed broadcast, as well as other distribution requests
- Any other task as required by Management
Requirements
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media, Communications, or a related field. Relevant certifications in production management are advantageous.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in production management, preferably within sports broadcasting or live events.
- Proven expertise in budgeting, scheduling, and cost reporting.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with a track record of fostering team growth.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Solid understanding of risk assessment, health and safety protocols, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in production management software, project tracking tools, and budgeting applications. Familiarity with AV and broadcast equipment is preferred.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as per the demands of live event production schedules.
Desirable:
- Passion for sport and business;
- Ability to work in multiple languages, with preference for South East Asian Languages.
