WTT HEAD OF CREATIVE DESIGN
World Table Tennis (WTT) is a commercial entity created by the ITTF to grow the professionalisation of table tennis by running ITTF’s commercial and events business. Taking a new, innovative and entrepreneurial approach to how table tennis should manage its competition platform and positioning, WTT has been tasked with re-imagining a new professional event structure, re-energising the entertainment and fan experience, and re-defining the new era.
WTT is seeking a visionary and hands-on Head of Creative Design to lead and oversee all design output across the ITTF Group. This role will play a key part in shaping the visual identity of WTT, delivering world-class creative solutions that elevate the brand and inspire audiences worldwide.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and oversee the Creative Design Team, managing all design requests across WTT departments to ensure high-quality, timely outputs that align with the organization’s vision.
- Be hands-on with creative execution, developing branding elements and creating visual assets for WTT events, merchandise, activities, and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain effective workflows,mapping timelines for the Design Team while fostering clear communication with the wider WTT Team to manage expectations and priorities efficiently.
- Establish processes and guidelines for design briefs, setting timelines and requirements to ensure all requests are accompanied by accurate information, enabling the team to deliver their best work.
- Act as the custodian of WTT’s brand design, ensuring consistency, integrity, and excellence across all visual and print outputs for all stakeholders.
- Conceptualize and design impactful promotional and marketing materials, delivering campaigns that enhance WTT’s visibility, fan engagement, and commercial goals.
- Develop corporate presentation decks and assets, ensuring a strong visual narrative that effectively communicates WTT’s objectives to internal and external audiences.
- Design and produce printed materials,including brochures, annual reports, event programs, and other collateral, reflecting WTT’s brand identity and design excellence.
- Maintain standardization of WTT branding across all platforms, ensuring consistent application of visual guidelines across campaigns, digital assets, and event branding.
- Lead the design of logos, posters, banners, and event branding, creating standout visuals that captivate fans and stakeholders worldwide.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors for printing and production, building strong relationships to ensure quality outputs and timely delivery.
- Provide creative leadership and strategic design solutions, driving initiatives that enhance WTT’s global positioning and visual storytelling.
- Support management with additional creative tasks, maintaining a solutions-focused approach aligned with organizational goals.
REQUIREMENTS:
Essential:
- Tertiary education in Graphic Design with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Proven project management and team leadership skills.
- A strong design portfolio showcasing previous works.
- Strong business acumen with active listening abilities.
- Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills.
- Highly proficient in design software, including but not limited to Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
- Solid understanding of basic design theory, such as colour theory, typography, and application across print and digital platforms.
- A keen eye for detail while ensuring all designs are visually appealing.
- Meticulous with excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think critically and adapt to changing situations as needed.
Desirable:
- Passion for sport and business.
- Ability to work in multiple languages, preferably South East Asian languages.
