WSHO safety officer (MRT/LTA) - RT1

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement workplace safety and health (WSH) policies, procedures, and risk management frameworks specific to MRT construction projects.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and project standards.
• Lead and document risk assessments, including the identification, evaluation, and mitigation of potential hazards on-site.
• Coordinate and conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and safety induction programs for workers and subcontractors.
• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
• Liaise with government agencies (e.g., MOM, LTA) and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and permits.
• Maintain safety records, including inspection reports, training logs, and incident records, for audits and reporting purposes.
• Work closely with the project management team to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.
• Promote a strong safety culture on-site, encouraging proactive reporting and adherence to safety measures by all workers.

Requirements:

• Must possess a valid WSHO (Workplace Safety and Health Officer) certification from an accredited institution.
• Registered with Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower (MOM) as a WSH Officer.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in safety management, preferably in MRT or large-scale infrastructure projects.
