Develop and implement workplace safety and health (WSH) policies, procedures, and risk management frameworks specific to MRT construction projects.
Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and project standards.
Lead and document risk assessments, including the identification, evaluation, and mitigation of potential hazards on-site.
Coordinate and conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and safety induction programs for workers and subcontractors.
Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
Liaise with government agencies (e.g., MOM, LTA) and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and permits.
Maintain safety records, including inspection reports, training logs, and incident records, for audits and reporting purposes.
Work closely with the project management team to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.
Promote a strong safety culture on-site, encouraging proactive reporting and adherence to safety measures by all workers.
Requirements:
Must possess a valid WSHO (Workplace Safety and Health Officer) certification from an accredited institution.
Registered with Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower (MOM) as a WSH Officer.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in safety management, preferably in MRT or large-scale infrastructure projects.
