Job Purpose
The WREF & EHS, Site Lead is responsible for the management and delivery of workplace, infrastructure and services at the commercial sites encompassing Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam, and ensuring that these supports and facilitate all business operations. The role provides senior leadership and direction to their organisation (contract partners), delivering a coherent, joined up approach to employee experience and aligning to their customers business strategy.
The Site Lead will serve as the primary liaison with the businesses at the site level, or stakeholders. The infrastructure and services at the site level are provided by contract partners, and as such, the Site Lead will ensure effective local governance of contracted relationships.
This role will be charged with developing the business plan for the site portfolio, on-boarding new sites and delivering the WREF aspirations within the region in partnership with the COEs. The incumbent will be instrumental in standardizing WREF services and driving performance across the sites within each region.
The role takes accountability for their markets of operation performance by leading One WREF team and ensuring cost, quality and compliance metrics are achieved. The role will also support the APAC real-estate and Projects team with delivery of strategy.
EHS
- Establish and implement commercial EHS management system at the site location(s) to ensure compliance with local EHS legislation and GSK global EHS standards.
- Facilitate regular commercial EHS council meeting joint by all relevant functions to discuss EHS concerned areas, to prioritize actions; to ensure appropriate resources and plans are in place.
- Work closely with compliance officers to ensure commercial EHS risk has been identified and mitigated properly.
Key Responsibilities
WREF
- To be responsible for the designated service delivery and its ongoing development across the relevant site or region.
- To establish and develop key relationships with senior GSK management and the service providers to enable to successful delivery of cost savings and service level agreements at the site or regional level.
- To be responsible for the local contract governance and delivery to ensure value and efficiencies at the site or regional level
- · Identify and/or support the successful delivery of all capital/ revenue projects across the region or site including infrastructure, business driven, or workplace initiatives by means of third party resources.
- Ensure uninterrupted delivery of all facility operations to the business through internal and contract resources.
- Act as key GSK contact with external community, government, or other agencies at a regional, site or local level.
- Act a mediator and decision maker in the resolution of disputes associated with delivery of services at the regional and site level
- Identify opportunities for improved service site level delivery from providers through innovation, technology, and processes.
- Chair, co-chair, or otherwise lead a site level operations team including key stakeholders, business partners, and contract partners.
- To provide guidance, drive, support, and goals for the designated service category teams accountable for delivering services to the local or regional sites.
- Tracking and monitoring performance metrics and indicators for the site or region
- To report performance and required executive level decisions or interventions to ensure compliance with the contract terms
- Maintains ethics and compliance values even when potential risk exists
EHS
- Setting EHS objectives to align with regulatory GSK global EHS requirement and facilitate EHS council to accomplish commercial EHS objectives.
- Lead EHS risk assessment and work with business partners to mitigation EHS risks.
- Establish, review and update commercial EHS policies and procedures at the site(s)
- Establish employee health programs to promote healthy work environment and mental wellbeing.
- Facilitate key commercial EHS programs implementation, such as life safety, office safety, health and wellbeing.
- Develop EHS training programs for the commercial business and deliver EHS induction training for new employee induction program.
- Be responsible to coordinate regular EHS inspection and audit program within commercial offices including sales office(s)
- Facilitate EHS incidents investigation and responsible for EHS incident reporting to local authority and global EHS reporting system.
- Liaison with GSK global and regional EHS network to learn and benchmark best EHS practice.
Security
- Follow Security policy, procedures and ensure an environment to protect people, assets and information.
- Coordinating security issues and investigations at site.
- Conducting risk assessment and security reviews

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Architecture
- Minimum 8 years of experience in both Workplace Real Estate & Facilities (WREF) and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) in pharmaceutical industry
- Working experience in APAC countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam
- Strong influence and communication skills at all levels within the market
- Experiences in office administration, or HR management
- Excellent English skill - oral and written.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, with customer service orientation
- Good computer skills and relevant software applications
