Workshop Foreman (Automotive)

• Responsible for the quality of service and repair work carried out by the team.
• Responsible for conducting both in-progress and final quality check of vehicles.
• Responsible for the accuracy of technicians workshop time recording.
• Responsible for on-the-job training of apprentices/technicians.
• Responsible for liaison with CSA on service/repair related matters.
• Responsible for supporting CSA on test drive and service related matters.
• Responsible for the use, maintenance and proper condition of diagnostic equipment, special tools and workshop facilities.
• Responsible for workplace safety, good order and tidiness in the workshop and the discipline of staff under his care.
• Responsible to control and manage teams loading (add jobs) references to carry forward for next day.
• Organize and supervise the team technicians to achieve best possible service quality and execute all jobs according to the repair order.
• Determine the team capacity available on the basis of mechanic units and maximize work bays and technicians utilization in a way that promised delivery date can be kept.
• Inform the workshop manager on lack of available technician capacity immediately.
• Ensure that daily/weekly repair order for the technicians are properly stamped in and out.
• Ensure that diagnosis and rectification correctly address customer complaints.
• Report necessary additional repair works immediately to the CSA, inform on the possibility of performing them (capacity) and ask for approval.
• Liaise with CSA on extra work to be done. If approved, enter the flat rates and the specification of such work in the repair order.

Requirements

• Minimum Higher Nitec in Automotive Technology (Light Vehicle)
• Possess Valid Class 3 Singapore driving licence
• At least 1 year experience in Automotive service and repair is preferred
• Location at Alexandra (moving to Defu in Feb 2024), Mon to Fri, 8.30am - 6.00pm, Alt Sat, 8.30am - 11.30am
